Sonvera guide
Turn a recording into a transcript and translated subtitles
Start with a recording you have permission to use. Check the recognised words, translate the text, then save subtitles for the video or a plain-text version for reading.
1. Add your recording
Open Transcribe and choose an audio or video file. Select the spoken language or use automatic detection. Private mode processes audio on Sonvera's server; optional Fast mode sends it to Groq after you agree to that processing.
Open Transcribe2. Correct the original words
Read the transcript against the source and edit any misheard names or phrases. Recognition can make mistakes, especially with background noise, overlapping speech and unfamiliar terms.
See transcription help3. Translate a version
Open Translate and select the transcript from your library. Choose a target language, compare it with the original, and correct the translated lines before sharing them. The original transcript remains available.
Open Translate4. Export what you need
For timed captions, export an SRT subtitle file or a bilingual version. For reading or editing elsewhere, export text. Review the result in the destination player or editor, because timing and translation may need human correction.
